Despite a monster performance from Mohammed Harat, Etoile Sportive Rades booked a place in the semifinals of the FIBA Champions Cup.
The home side beat Algerian outfit GS Petroliers 89-87 in a quarter final game played today in Tunisia; the tie is the third game of the round.
Harat dropped a game high 34 points recording seven rebounds, two steals and two blocks in his impressive outing for the side.
Unfortunately, his solo efforts were not enough for Rades balanced game which had several players on the roster share scoring responsibilities.
Omar Abada led the Tunisian side in scoring with 13 points adding two rebounds and two steals; he was two assists short a double double in the game.
The exciting tie is easily the standout fixture with three of four planned games honored; Uganda side City Oilers and Tunisian side US Monastir play in the final game in a couple of minutes.
Moroccan side AS Sale beat Ferroviario Beira 92-63 and Inter Clube lost 65-71 to Sportive Libolo.
