Thanks to a 41-29 win over close rival Suncity Braves, defending GSP League Champions University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) continues to lead the rankings.
After four rounds in the 2017-2018 Global Sporting Platform (GSP) Basketball season, UENR has eight points with the latest coming at the Eusbett Court in Sunyani.
The 12 point win over Braves has proven crucial in distancing the tertiary side-albeit small-from contenders LIR Royals and Suncity.
Losing its first game of the season, Braves close run with UENR took a hit as the former league champions drop from second to third.
Royals move to the second position exploiting Suncity’s loss with a 33-18 win over Sunyani Technical University (STU).
