Basketballghana.com gathers Tema Heat Basketball Club has disbanded in the wake of high profile exits from the club in the Tema Community Basketball League.
Following the conclusion of the 2019 season, two players-Mustapha Ahmed and Steven Foster-have moved to sign for Tema Community 4.
Other players including Point Guard Andrews Ayienab have yet to commit to the team for the 2020 season; the league is yet to confirm a start date due to a ban on contact sports in Ghana that is set to end on July 31.
The biggest doubt regarding a Tema Heat setup for the upcoming season is from Captain Fred Yeboah who has stated his focus is on organizing the league and not plays in it going forward according to report. Yeboah founded the Tema League in 2016.
Other players including veteran Guard Benjamin Debrah and top rebounder Mubarak Alhassan could be on the move to another club in the league considering the circumstances.
Thus far, Spintex Knights and Tema Community 4 have been the biggest players in the transfer market.
