The quarterfinals roster of this year’s FIBA Africa Champions Cup is complete after games in the preliminary stage came to a close.
ES Rades, InterClube, City Oilers, US Monastirienne, Sport Libolo e Benfica, GS Petroliers, AS Sale and Ferroviario da Beira have made it to the knockout phase.
Ugandan side Oilers was the last to book a spot in the quarter final after beating Nigerian side Kano Pillars 95-86.
This has been a disappointing competition for winners of the Kwese Nigerian Premier Basketball League Pillars after placing fourth in last year’s edition.
The team will have to battle for classification slots against fellow Nigerian side Gombe Bulls on Monday December 18.
Quarter final games will be played on Monday with Oilers taking on Tunisian side US Monastir who are unbeaten in the tournament.
Home side Etoile Sportive Rades finished second in Group A behind AS Sale of Morocco and face GS Petroliers of Algeria in the quarters.
Sale take on Ferroviario de Beira and Interclub play Sportive Libolo Benfica tomorrow.
