Ahantaman Girls Senior High in Takoradi showed up big for the trophy arrival.

Ahantaman Girls Senior High School (AHANSS) has great ambitions to win next year’s Sprite Ball Championship according to the school’s Headmistress Mercy Ocloo.

Winning the national championship will be the perfect way to mark the school’s 70th anniversary next year according to the veteran administrator.

She made the statement in an interview with Basketballghana.com during the Sprite Ball Trophy Tour in the Western Region.

“They (our opponents) should prepare adequately because we are coming in a very grand style. In fact next year will be the 70th anniversary of the school and we want to have this cup with us in our school” she said.

The Tour has touched base in several schools in several regions of Ghana and made its way to the western side of the country.

The entourage was received with a raucous welcome on arrival as students and staff members lined the streets on campus cheering at the sight of the famous trophy.

AHANSS will represent the region at the nationalgames next year which takes place from January 4-6 at the El Wak Stadium.
