After clinching the coveted Sprite Ball Championship title on four occasions and three silver medal finishes, Mfantsipim School can boldly claim the title “Home of Sprite Ball”.
The trophy returned to the school as members of the ongoing Sprite Ball Trophy Tour and Clinic made a stop at Mfantsipim during the Central Region leg of the tour.
The Tour had been to other regions in the West African country including the Ashanti, Eastern and Volta Regions respectively.
Touching base at the most successful team in the competition’s history, members of the team shared their thoughts on the upcoming national competition before taking pictures with the much desired silverware.
Mfantsipim recently wrapped up winning another regional title by beating rival St. Augustine’s College 20-18 in this year’s competition which took place recently at the Robert Mensah Stadium in Cape-Coast.
Coach Isaac Mensah sounded off on his team’s preparation towards the main event next year stating his side is operating at 60% and will work on improving the team.
The next Sprite Ball takes place from January 4-6, 2018 at the El Wak Stadium in Accra.
