Ahantaman Girls Senior High in the Western Region showed up big for the trophy arrival.
The home of defending Sprite Ball Champions Opoku Ware School (OWASS), Ashanti Region could well miss out on the Sprite Ball Trophy Tour.

This Trophy Tour has been immense with several stakeholders participating fully in the event creating awareness of Ghana’s biggest high school basketball competition.

The Tour has hit Eastern, Volta, Western and Central Regions in Ghana with Greater Accra reported to be the final destination.

Should the entourage round up activities by touching base at schools in the West African country’s capital region later this week, OWASS and schools in the Ashanti Region will miss out.

OWASS won the last edition of the Championship courtesy a 27-25 win over record winners Mfantsipim School with Kumasi Girls High School placing second in the female division behind Wesley Girls.

Both schools topped regional games played in November and will represent the region at the upcoming edition slated for January 4-6, 2018 at the El Wak Stadium in Accra.

Basketballghana.com gathers this development has not gone done well with Ashanti Regional authorities.
