The ongoing Sprite Ball Trophy Tour and Clinic has wrapped up events in Ghana’s Western Region capital Sekond-Takoradi as days continue to tick down to the start of the national games.

Ghana Secondary Technical School (GSTS) and St. John’s School hosted the travelling entourage after making similar stops in regions in the West African country.

While GSTS missed out on qualifying from the region to the national competition, the sad point had little effect on the students’ reception to the entourage.

Huge gathering of students made their way to catch a glimpse of the trophy and interact with some members of the travelling party.

At St. John’s School in Sekondi, Headmaster Anthony Jonathan Mensah received the party and promised his side will perform better at the upcoming competition.

John’s placed third at the last edition held in December, 2016. A special clinic aimed at improving players development was organized with two time Ghana Basketball Coach of the Year Lawal Brimah headlining the event.

Sprite Ball takes place from January 4-6, 2018 at the El Wak Stadium.
