Sacred Heart Senior High School will be present at the next edition of Sprite Ball in the boys and girls division respectively after securing qualification from the regionals.
The school secured spots at the national high school basketball championship for next year at the Greater Accra Regional qualifiers which took place over the past weekend.
The games were played at the University of professional Studies (UPSA) and Presbyterian Boys Senior High School (PRESEC-Legon).
Sacred Heart qualified in the boys division with St. Thomas Aquinas Senior High School and PRESEC-Osu at the expense of big weights including host PRESEC-Legon.
Accra Wesley Girls High School and West Africa Senior High School qualified to Sprite Ball alongside Sacred Heart’s female side in the girls division.
The qualifying games were originally planned to be completed on Saturday December 9 but had to be completed a day after due to heavy rain.
Next year’s Sprite Ball Championship takes place at the El Wak Stadium in Accra from January 4-6, 2018 with 26 schools competing.
