Presbyterian Boys Senior High School (PRESEC-Legon) has missed out on qualifying to the Sprite Ball Championship for next year.
The team fell behind St. Thomas Aquinas and Sacred Heart Senior High Schools respectively and PRESEC-Osu in the boys division at the just ended Greater Accra Regional qualifiers which took place over the weekend.
Games were played at the University of Professional Studies (UPSA) and PRESEC-Legon where Accra Wesley Girls, West Africa and Sacred Heart Senior High School topped the girls division to represent the region at the national event in 2018.
However, PRESEC-Legon is not the only big name institution that missed out qualification as the likes of Achimota School and Tema Senior High School failed to do same.
Former bronze medalist in the girls division, Achimota, failed to get past the aforementioned trio at the regional games and extend its absence at the national games.
2012 silver medalist Tema Senior High will not feature in the upcoming Championship following losses to the top three including 4-67 loss to West Africa Senior High.
Sprite Ball takes place at El Wak Stadium from January 4-6, 2018.
