The competition tips off later today at Tema’s Community 4 Court with League Champions Community 4 in action in the opening game.
However, C4 won’t play Ghana Police per the original schedule; rather the team will be up against University of Professional Studies (UPSA) Male Basketball Team.
The decision to replace Police with UPSA stems from organizers position on commitment per reports gathered by Basketballghana.com
Further alterations have been made to the league as Coldstore replacement Akatsi Rifles have been also been replaced with Tema Rockets.
Rockets missed out on competing in the tournament after losing a playoff tie against Francophone All Stars weeks back.
However, the team has been given a life line by organizers by skipping Rifles; Rockets is largely made up of veteran players from Tema Community 12.
Francophone plays Ghana Navy before Ashaiman Lions take on Tema Heat to round up ties in the opening round today.
Rockets will be in action on Sunday December 10 against Ashaiman Lions.
