Kwame Nkrumah Hall has emerged winner of the University of Cape-Coast’s Indomie Final Four Basketball Tournament.
The competition took place at tertiary institution with teams representing halls featuring in the post season event following the regular season.
Casely Hayford Hall and Atlantic Hall failed to progress beyond the regular season leaving Oguaa, Nkrumah, VALCO and SRC Halls to fight for first place.
SRC lost to Nkrumah Hall 24-32 in the opening game of the semifinals before Oguaa Hall lost out on a place in the final following a19-36 result.
A ladies exhibition game was played prior to the last round of games in the tournament; the game is regarded as a dress rehearsal for the upcoming female league on campus.
SRC beat Oguaa 20-15 to clinch third place in the competition and Nkrumah Hall stormed from behind to beat VALCO 42-32 in the final game.
VALCO held a 28-7 lead in the opening exchanges of the game but fell apart in the third quarter allowing Nkrumah Hall to get the lead.
Desmond Cobblah was named Most Valuable Player of the tournament. The event was sponsored by Indomie Ghana and organized by Trinity Basketball.
