Mfanstiman Girls Senior High School has begun preparations for the Sprite Ball Championship qualifiers by engaging in a friendly tie.

The team beat Holy Child School 36-11 early this morning in the friendly with qualifiers to the renowned high school competition mere days away.

Mfantsiman is due to compete in the Central Region’s qualifiers on Thursday November 30 at the Robert Mensah Stadium in Cape-Coast.

Beating Holy Child is a good start for a side that is solely focused on making it to the national tournament after missing out on the last edition.

Mfantsiman is due to compete against the likes reigning national and regional champions Wesley Girls High School, former national winners Aggrey Memorial Mount Zion School and Holy Child next week.

The boys’ competition has former winner St. Augustine’s College, record national winners Mfantsipim School, Adisadel College and Aggrey’s male team competing.

Mfantsimn has missed out winning the competition placed second and third in previous editions. The next edition of Sprite Ball will be played in January, 2018.
