Angola’s capital, Luanda will play host to the first set of World Cup qualifiers on Friday November 25 with games set to run to Sunday November 26.
Group C games will be played at the home of Africa’s record title winners with Morocco, Egypt and Democratic Republic of Congo set to compete against the host nation.
This is the first of two rounds participating countries in the qualifiers will feature in as they bid for spots at the 2019 World Cup due to be held in China.
Ahead of the qualifiers, Angola has made several changes to its team after exiting the African Nations Championship (AfroBasket) at the quarter finals.
Angola recently named 2015 AfroBasket winning and former Nigeria Coach Will Voigt as head trainer to steer the Central African country to the second round.
The top three teams in four groups will make it to the second round where countries will engage in home and away ties to determine which teams make it to the world event.
Games in Groups B and D will played next year.
