University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) Basketball Team headlines the roster for the 2017-2018 GSP season.

The upcoming 2017-2018 Global Sporting Platform (GSP) Basketball League campaign commences on Saturday November 25 at the Eusbett Court.

Months after winning the 2016-2017 season, the tertiary side will defend its title against five top opponents in the region.

Dessert Rabbits, Barracks Scorpions, Catholic University College, Ghana (CUCG Saints), LIR and 2015-2016 winners Suncity Braves will battle for the title next season.

All five teams featured in the last league campaign with Braves narrowly missing out on a repeating its title winning efforts.

However, the team lost to UENR on the final of competition and the league title which went to the tertiary team led by Most Valuable Player Award winner Robert Fiifi Brew.

Despite settling on six teams, there is room for an expanded list as Ghana’s leading hoops portal gathers Sunyani Technical University and Westsiders are in the loop to meet league requirements in time for Saturday.

Both teams featured in last season’s competition.
