Reigning Sprite Ball Champions Opoku Ware School (OWASS) will have a different look in the upcoming edition of the national championship.
The School will attempt to defend its title in January 2018 with a completely different set of players following the mass exodus of members of the winning team.
Eight players from OWASS all conquering team have graduated from the well known High School since becoming the Ashanti Region’s first male side to win the national games.
Standout players including Captain and Center Harris Amuzu, Point Guard Emmanuel Opare and hard driving Shooting Guard Emmanuel Fritete are without the team for the next edition.
However, this year’s roster features four remnants of the winning team including Shooting Guard Melchizedek and Emmanuel Agyapong.
As the most experienced members in the group, both have played starring roles in qualifying the team to January’s tournament.
OWASS, arch rival Prempeh College and T.I. Ahmadiyya senior High School will represent the region in the male division.
OWASS secured its first national title after beating Mfantsipim College 27-25.
