Ghana’s representative at the ongoing FIBA Africa Zone 3 Club Championships Braves of Customs has earned a walk over win against Nigerian side Civil Defence.

The win is Braves second of the competition after an opening day win over Aspac of Benin and keeps the team in the hunt for a spot in the finals.

The Customs team was set to take on Defence in the second game of Day 4 of the games at 16:00 GMT which had two other games honored.

However after an extensive period of waiting, members of Defence failed to show up at the arena forcing officials to call off the game and hand the win and maximum points to the Ghana side.

There are no games scheduled for today as teams get a rest day before games commence on Friday November 17.

Braves will be in action against Mark Mentors, also from Nigeria, at 16:00 GMT at the National Stadium Indoor Hall in Lagos.

Heading into forfeited game, Braves Forward Kpakpo Pappoe led the tournament in rebounds (12 per game).
