NBA Vice President and Managing Director for Africa Amadou Gallo Fall has touched down in Ghana’s capital, Accra.

The veteran Administrator is in the West African city to familiarize himself with activities taking place in the burgeoning basketball hub in Ghana.

Per reports reaching Basketballghana.com, plans are far advanced to launch Ghana’s version of the Junior NBA League.

The renowned talent breeding ground has deep roots in several parts of the world including Africa where countries like Senegal, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania and Kenya have put into operation.

Matters on the NBA Africa Academy forms part of major talking points Fall is expected to deliberate with key stakeholders in the country.

Fall’s visit comes in the aftermath of an exhibition for the Academy organized a few weeks prior involving young players from several parts of the country.

Heightened interest in the sport and the emergence of players from the country on the international like former University of Connecticut Captain Amida Brimah has positioned Ghana as the next big talent destination on the continent.
