Panthers open tonight’s round of matches in the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division II against Junior Reformers with one task to execute; win.
The tie against Reformers is scheduled to tip off at 17:00 GMT at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu and precedes a crunch game between Navy Warriors and Junior Rangers.
Rangers and Warriors lie fifth and fourth respectively in the standings with the same points (17) and record (seven wins in ten games) but differ on goal difference with Navy holding a superior edge.
For third place Panthers, beating Junior Reformers is essential to keep its hope of making a return to the elite division intact.
With just a point separating the veteran side from Warriors and Rangers, Panthers need to beat Reformers in its final game of the season.
Unlike Panthers, Warriors and Rangers have one more remaining on the calendar after tonight’s fixtures which plays to their advantage.
Junior Reformers are out of contention after putting up four wins in ten games as it prepares to take on Panthers. The young side is ninth in the standings.
