Game Two of the 2017 Tema Basketball League Finals Series takes place at Tema’s Community 4 Court with home side Community 4 leading the series 1-0.
The home team clinched Game One courtesy a 58-54 win over Ashaiman Lions in surprising fashion with the latter side going into the fixture as favorites.
A win for C4 this Sunday November 12 clinches the 2017 league title in what should be the biggest story line of the season and could possibly continue big upsets in the competition following Tema Heat’s win over 2016 Champions Nungua Coldstore.
Heat beat Coldstore 53-50 to clinch the bronze medal ahead of last year’s league winners who missed out on another trip to the final after falling to Lions in the Group Finals.
The result means Nungua end the season without a medal after going into the season as heavy favorites to repeat its title winning exploits from last season.
Winning the second game could prove tough for C4 since Lions played Game One without influential leader and leading marksman Elvis Pobi-Siaw. His presence is sure to ease the burden on backcourt mate David Amartey.
