Ghana Center Amida Brimah has made an inspiring to life as an Austin Spurs player despite his team’s 119-123 loss to Texas Legends in the Gatorade or G- League.
The 6 foot 11 inch top shot blocker played 12 minutes against Legends for the first time in a Spurs shirt after sitting out of the team’s opening game against Salt Lake Stars.
Brimah ended the game with four points, nine rebounds and a blocked shot but coughed the ball up six times in the contest.
Davis Bertans powered Austin by registering 27 points, five rebounds and two steals in 31 minutes; the Center is one of the long tenured members on the roster.
Following the team’s win over Utah Jazz’s G-League affiliate on Saturday, the loss checks Spurs record for the season to a win in two games.
The Spurs take on Rio Grande Valley Vipers tonight in its third game of the season; Brimah joined Austin ahead of the season after a Training Camp stint with NBA side San Antonio Spurs.
