The anticipated rematch between Opoku Ware School and Prempeh College in the Final Game of the Ashanti Regional Qualifiers for the Sprite Ball Championship has been moved to Toase Senior High School.
The game was originally scheduled to take place at Opoku Ware’s Court but has been moved to avoid crowd troubles which characterized the first game on Friday.
A lot of stoppages occurred in the game as tensed momemnts gave way to chaotic scenes particularly in the second half with time running out.
As a result, the tie ended 16-16 but the overtime period could not take place as poor visibility at the venue prevented the game from going on as planned.
Both teams have qualified to play at the national games in Accra courtesy of making the finals.
They will be joined by T.I. Ahmadiyya Senior High School after the team clinched bronze by beating Kumasi Anglican Senior High School 25-9.
Unlike the male category, Kumasi Girls earned a second straight regional title following a 7-0 win over T.I.Ahmadiyya in the final game.
Islamic Senior High School clinched bronze ahead of St. Louis Senior High School. However, only the finalists qualify to the national games.
