The next instalment of the biggest rivalry in the Ashanti Region will be played out on Monday November 6 after an inconclusive end to the last game.
Opoku Ware School take on Prempeh College for the second time following the 16-16 result recorded in the final game played at the regional qualifiers on Friday.
The tie was set to head to overtime but poor visibility at the venue forced officials to call off the game and reschedule to Monday.
The exciting tense filled game almost plunged into a chaotic fixture that had several stoppages to address crowd trouble and indiscipline on court.
Several fouls characterized the second half of the game following Prempeh’s 10-8 win in the first half.
Opoku Ware capitalized on free throws to toe the game and could have gone up 17-16 had immaculate Guard Emmanuel Agyapong sank a free throw attempt with time expired.
The finalists and third place winners T.I.Ahmadiyya Senior High School have qualified to the next edition of the national championship to be held in Ghana’s capital,Accra.
Kumasi Girls Senior High School settled the female competition by beating T.I. Ahmadiyya 7-0 in the final. Both teams have booked spots at the national games.
