INDEPENDENCE, Ohio — LeBron James turned his left ankle in the Cleveland Cavaliers’ evening practice Wednesday and sat out Thursday’s practice for treatment, according to the team.
X-rays on James’ ankle were negative. He is considered day-to-day.
Cleveland’s first preseason game is Wednesday against the Atlanta Hawks.
Dwyane Wade also didn’t practice Thursday so he could attend to a personal matter. The 12-time All-Star will be introduced by the Cavs on Friday following practice.
