Ghana Center Amida Brimah will be on San Antonio Spurs roster as the team prepares to play five preseason games ahead of the new NBA season.
The fixtures have been released ahead of the team’s 2017-2018 season opener on October 18 against Minnesota Timberwolves at the AT&T Center.
Prior to that game, San Antonio will be busy in games against Sacramento Kings on two occasions, Denver Nuggets, Orlando Magic and Houston Rockets.
The schedule is heavy on Western Conference teams with Orlando being the sole team from the Eastern Conference on the list.
Brimah is one of 19 players invited to camp and is in the hunt to make the 15 man cut ahead of the season; the 6 foot 11 inch Center can be signed to one of two two way contracts introduced to the league ahead of the campaign.
After struggling for playing time early in his time at University of Connecticut and stint with Chicago Bulls in this year’s NBA Summer League, Brimah figures to play extensive minutes in his quest for a team spot.
He averaged 2.8 blocks at UCONN while winning the 2014 National College Championship.
