Navy Warriors are on the rise in the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division II 2017 season after clinching a third straight win.
The side clinched a trio of victories in recent outings in the division courtesy a 79-41 lashing on Akatsi Rifles following similar wins over Dunk Knights and Panthers in previous outings.
After a nerve wrecking start to the season, Warriors have bonded well as the season has progressed to become a formidable side under main team Coach Alexander Tindani.
The Navy affiliate team with known quantities like Michael Sarkor has recovered brilliantly from three game losing start to the season to hit three wins on the bounce and even out its season record.
On the other hand, Rifles are going through a miserable patch in their campaign as the team remains winless in five games played all season long.
Warriors improved form in recent outings has moved the side to fourth place in the standings with nine points.
However, the team’s position in the top four is subject to results from upcoming games over the weekend involving close rivals Junior Reformers and Panthers.
Police beat CYO 73-57 in the opening game of the round.
