Ghana Center Amida Brimah has earned a Training Camp call up to San Antonio Spurs roster ahead of the 2017-2018 season.
The Tudu-born 6 foot 11 inch top defender got the call up after playing for Chicago Bulls in the NBA Summer League.
By landing a training camp deal with the five time NBA Champions, Brimah joins fellow new recruit Rudy Gay as former University of Connecticut players on Spurs roster.
Gay, a lottery pick in 2006, signed a two year deal with San Antonio after an Achilles injury cut his 2016-2017 season with Sacramento Kings short.
Brimah played four seasons for the Huskies captaining the team in his final season earlier this year before graduating with a degree in Agricultural Economics.
Gay starred for the Huskies for two seasons before making it to the NBA; Brimah won the 2014 Championship in his first year before going on to average 6.7 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.3 blocks during his stay.
Gay has played for Memphis Grizzlies and Toronto Raptors before landing in San Antonio.
