Rifles (black) lost for the third time this season to Panthers.

Warriors (red) faced a loss prior to a cancelled game against Dunks Knights.
Panthers recorded another loss in the 2017 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division II season albeit in shocking circumstances.

The former Division I side lost 43-58 to Navy Warriors at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu in the latest round of games in the campaign.

The loss is Panthers second of the season and first after taking three straight wins since an opening day loss.

Heading to the fixture, Panthers were highly tipped for a win considering the team’s fifth position in the standings and Warriors position in the bottom half of the standings.

Navy had recorded its maiden win of the season courtesy a 66-43 win over Dunks Knights in a rearranged matchup following a rain induced cancellation.

After enduring a bad run in the opening rounds of this year’s competition, Warriors have registered two straight wins and seem to have found its groove.

However, the second game of the round between Novas Academy and Junior Reformers did not come off as planned due to rain. This is the second time in as many weeks a game has had to be postponed due to this.
