Novas Academy’s tie against Junior Reformers has been cancelled due to rain that soaked the Lebanon House Court in Tudu.
The league venue for this season’s Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division II campaign has already witnessed similar fates handed out due to the natural elements.
Novas’ fixture was the second game of the round set to be honored but the exposed nature of the court in the heart of Ghana’s capital, Accra prevented it from taking place.
The court, which is in a deplorable state, is dangerous to play on particularly when wet meaning game officials have to call off games with the slightest hint of rainfall.
This comes in the aftermath of Dunks Knights postponed game against Navy Warriors a few days ago; Dunks lead 37-28 with little over six minutes remaining in the final quarter before rains set in.
Officials postponed the game to Monday September 18 which Warriors won 66-43 for its maiden win in the campaign.
Panthers lost 43-58 to Navy Warriors in the opening game.
