The schedule for the first round of the 2017 Tema Basketball League playoffs has been released ahead of the competition.
The postseason gets underway on Sunday September 24 at Tema’s Community 4 Court with fixtures set to be honored in Groups A and B respectively.
The opening game is between Nungua Coldstore and Junior Reformers at 15:30 GMT with the defending champions Nungua facing off against fourth seed Reformers after topping Group A in the regular season.
Second seed Ashaiman Lions will be in action against third Ghana Police for the second straight game following Lions final regular season game win over Police.
In Group B, leaders Tema Community 4 take on Ghana Navy after Community 2 plays Tema Heat in the prior game. All games in the playoffs will be played in a best of three game series including the Group finals and main finals.
The start date was confirmed by the league board after news circulated this year’s postseason would begin next month.
Six teams missed the playoffs in this year’s competition.
