Newly elected Accra Basketball League (ABL) and Greater Accra Regional Basketball Association Vice Chairman Michael Ackah has stated new executives need the support of stakeholders and non stakeholders to grow the sport.

He made the statement in an exclusive interview with Basketballghana.com during the “CAP 7” Memorial Game played in honor of former ABL Chairman Benjamin Baafi who passed away earlier this year.

The exhibition games had players from teams competing in this year’s Men’s Division I and II and Women’s Division participate on a night which would have been the demised administrator’s 55th birthday.

In his first interaction with the media following his win recently, the St. Augustine’s College Alum opined the new board needs everyone’s help to be successful.

“But for the game we love, I think that the new executives, the players, the supporters want to see something different… so we need to meet together with the Chairman Ayitey Bulley, with the Organizing Secretary and Secretary, we have to meet and come out with a strategic plan and then we can present to the Association and all the stakeholders” he said.

Emmanuel “Rubberman” Quaye and Marcel Avadu were recently voted into power as Organizing Secretary and Secretary respectively.
