Junior Reformers Coach Raymond Abagi Maha has confirmed the team’s participation in the Tema Basketball League to Basketballghana.com
His statement ends speculations about the team’s availability on match days in the upcoming postseason following recent forfeiture’s from the club.
Junior Reformers have failed to report to league venue-Tema Community 4-to honor two consecutive ties including Tema Community 5 in the last round of games.
Speaking exclusively to Ghana’s leading hoops portal, Maha, who doubles as the bankroller and mentor of the young team denied reports his team has quit the league and made assurances his side will compete in the playoffs after securing qualification.
Reformers lie fourth in Group A behind Nungua Coldstore, Ghana Police and Ashaiman Lions; Lions and Coldstore played in last year’s finals which had Coldstore win the title.
Despite losing points to close in the group leaders, Reformers point tally (18) and superior goal difference puts the side ahead of fifth placed Akatsi Rifles who share the same number of points.
That aside, Rifles have completed fixtures in the regular season whereas Reformers have a game remaining to complete its season fixtures.
