Former league Administrator Baafi passed away earlier this year.

A memorial game dubbed “CAP 7” to honor former Accra Basketball League (ABL) Chairman Benjamin Baafi will be played on Thursday September 14 at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu.

The one off game will feature former playing mates of the renowned ex player and administrator who passed away earlier this year after a long battle with illness.

Active players in the league, mainly players from Braves of Customs Male and Female Teams will play a part in the game. Players from other outfits in the league have been invited to the game.

The event comes off mere days after a new group of executives were voted into office to take over affairs in the league for the next couple of years.

Aside playing the role of Ghana’s elite club basketball competition, Baafi doubled as Greater Accra Regional Chairman.

CAP 7 is in reference to Baafi’s jersey number in his playing days and his nickname, Captain. In his role as Sports Director of Ghana’s Revenue Authority, teams representing the state agency thrived with Braves emerging an impregnable force in the West African country.
