2017 Tema Basketball League Under 19 Champions, Tema Community 4- have made an appearance of celebrated basketball television show “Courtside” on Ghana channel Kwese Free Sports following the team’s triumph.
C4 beat Nungua Youngings 46-39 in the final game to win the trophy and Guard Prince Akaba was named Most Valuable Player of the Tournament.
With trophies in hand and spotting shirts with “Champions” caption emblazoned on them, the team made an appearance on the trendy show with Coaches Nana Kwasi and Kent Fosu Agyemang to recount their championship winning experience with Host Yaw Sakyi Afari.
Agyemang stated the focus was to win the competition pushed the side to train harder and work as a team; the tournament was hosted in the community.
C4 played above themselves to beat Tema West Academy in the semifinals to book a spot in the final game against highly fancied Nungua.
A spirited effort from the likes of Akaba got the side the big win; outfits including DC Dynamics, Icons Club and Don Bosco Giants featured in the competition.
Courtside airs on Sunday from 16:00 GMT to 18:00 GMT.
