Election of Executives for the Accra Basketball League (ABL) is underway at the Lebanon House Forecourt in Tudu, Accra.
The poll opened at 8:00 GMT and is expected to close at 16:00 GMT; electorates are expected to cast votes on interested candidates.
Interim Organizer of the league, Alexander Tindani, who doubles as Ghana Navy Coach, is present at the center to oversee the process.
The Chairman, Vice Chairman, Treasury, Organizing Secretary positions are up for grabs respectively and some renowned figures in the game are in the running.
Basketballghana.com can confirm Andrew Okoe Bulley is running uncontested for the Chairman position while Michael Andrew Ackah and Aurora Commodore-Toppar are running for the Vice Chairman position.
Ghana Basketball Awards Coach of the Year nominee and Tema Youth Coach Emmanuel “Rubberman Quaye has registered his interest as Organizing Secretary.
Votes will be tallied once polls close later today and winners declared. However, the Men’s Division II schedule will not be affected by the elections since games are scheduled to be honored.
