The Accra Basketball League (ABL) Executive elections is in line to take place on Friday September 8 at the Lebanon House Forecourt in Tudu.
This year’s polls has been opened to interested candidates for various positions on the executive board to steer the affairs of Ghana’s elite club basketball competition for the next couple of years.
The Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Organizing Secretary, Treasury and Organizing Secretary positions are open respectively.
Polls open at 8:00 GMT and close at 16:00 GMT. Some known figures have submitted their names and filled forms to stand for positions listed above.
Renowned Tema Youth Coach and former national team player Emmanuel “Rubberman” Quaye has submitted his name to run for the Organizing Secretary position.
Veteran player Michael Ackah has submitted his name to run for the Vice Chairman position currently occupied by long tenured administrator Kofi Amnayor.
Once polls close and results are announced, games in the ABL Men’s Division II will take place beginning with a game between Dunks Knight and Tudu Galaxy at 17:00 GMT before DC Aspirants play CYO.
