This year’s Accra Basketball League (ABL) Executive Elections will be held on Friday September 8 to usher a new wave of officials to lead Ghana’s elite club basketball competition.
The elections will be held at the Lebanon House forecourt in Tudu where interested personnel will have their fates on running the league decided by stakeholders.
Positions up for grabs include Chairman, General Secretary, Financial Secretary and the event comes at a time regular season games in the Men’s Division I and Women’s have ended.
Representatives from teams in the above mentioned divisions and Men’s Division II will cast votes on candidates on Friday.
The Chairman position is expected to be one of the most looked out for positions in the race since the position has been left vacant for a while.
Ex Chairman Benjamin Baafi passed away months ago after battling illness for a lenghty period; Vice Chairman Kofi Amanyor has filled the role on an tentative basis since Baafi’s demise.
An All Star game will be in his honor on September 14.
