Fans yearning to see Ghana Police and Ashaiman Lions go at it again in the Tema Basketball League will be left disappointed following announcement of the game’s postponement.

The league‘s board has announced the anticipated tie has been called off due to the unavailability of a significant number of players for the game.

Players from both sides are in Cape-Coast and rounded up competing in Ghana’s Basketball Festival but will not be able to make it in time for the game in the country’s capital, Accra.

Police players including Benjamin Debrah and Emmanuel Dickson and Lions players including Elvis Pobi-Siaw and Dennis Dugbennu competed in the festival tournament.

However, the league board is yet to announce a new date for the tie to be honored; Police is second in Group A behind leaders Nungua Coldstore with Lions in third place.

Junior Reformers of Prisons matchup against Tema Community 5 has been called off due to the above stated reason.
Group B games between Tema Community 4 and Ghana Navy and Community 12 and Teshie Rangers will be honored at Tema’s Community 4 Court beginning 17:30 GMT.
