Reports coming in indicate games in the Cape-Coast Basketball League have been halted.
The league is scheduled to commence later in the year per information gathered by Basketballghana.com.
The arrangement is due to University of Cape-Coast’s imminent academic vacation which will deprive most teams of players who double as students of the tertiary institution.
Atlantic Hall and Kwame Nkrumah Hall are among eight teams competing in the league.
As a result, no game was played at the league venue.
The league is the latest of several startup leagues that have sprung up in Ghana; the West African nation is experiencing a boom in popularity of the sport.
The Global Sporting Projects (GSP) League and Tema Community League are examples of such fledgling leagues.
