University of Ghana’s (UG) game against Ghana Navy been postponed after heavy rain drenched the Lebanon House Court in Tudu forcing the game to be called off.
Heavy showers poured on Ghana’s capital region affecting most parts including the venue for the game due to tip off at 17:30 GMT.
League officials are yet to announce a new date for the game to be honored since both teams have to be consulted then notified on the best possible date for the rescheduled game.
As a result of the call off, UG still has two outstanding games to play following recent absence in previous rounds.
The tertiary side has to play Navy and defending champions Braves of Customs to match the game tally of league leaders Tudu Galaxy.
UG sits bottom of the five team roster and clearing both outstanding games gives the side a big chance to move up the standings.
Navy on the other hand, need a win to halt a two game losing run that has all but blanketed the side’s title ambitions for the season.
