According to information reaching Ghana’s leading hoops portal, the league which commenced in July 2016, will honor the special occasion in a few weeks.
Among the activities lined up to celebrate the milestone, an All-Star Game featuring the best players in the league will be played at the Tema Community 4 Court.
The Tema League begun in 2016 as an Accra Basketball League (ABL) off shoot with just seven teams competing in the debut season.
This season, the roster has expanded to 16 teams with competing teams placed in two groups containing eight teams each.
Due to the immense success of the league, several spin off competitions have been played including the Ebi Bright Tournament played in honor of 2016 Tema Central National Democratic Congress Parliamentary Candidate Ebi Bright.
Nungua Coldstore are the reigning champions.
