Fire Service will be in action for the first time in the second round of the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I as the side takes on Adenta Leopards.
The game tips off at 18:00 GMT at the Lebanon House Court and is either team’s debut game in the second half of the elite division since its recommencement on May 19.
It will be the first for Adenta playing with a 24 second shot clock in the league; Fire got a feel of the mechanism in an exhibition game a week ago.
Despite ending the season’s first half with four wins in six games and third in the standings, Fire closed out the half with two straight losses ending the team’s unbeaten run in the process.
One of those losses was against Leopards following a 64-67 in the league’s first half closing round; Adenta played the game shorthanded as several players missed the game.
Following league leaders Tema Youth and Braves of Customs respective wins over DC Dynamics and Ghana Navy in the opening round of the season’s second half, Fire needs to win to avoid further falling behind the top duo.
