University of Connecticut and Ghana Center Amida Brimah has worked out for Utah Jazz and Milwaukee Bucks ahead of the NBA Draft.
The 2017 Draft is slated to take place on June 22 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York where the next wave of prospective players will be picked by teams in the NBA.
Despite missing out on an invitation to the Draft Combine, Brimah’s four year stint at UCONN highlighted by the 2013 National Championship title and impressive defensive skills and intriguing physical measurements, make the Accra-born Center a tantalizing prospect.
Amida worked out in front of several team executives at the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament.
The Bucks, who hold pick 48, worked out Brimah and five others including North Carolina Power Forward Kennedy Meeks.
For Utah Jazz, who hold four picks in the upcoming draft, the workout gives the Western Conference semifinalist more options to snag the Ghanaian shot blocker; Utah holds picks 24, 30, 42 and 55.
Brimah averaged 7.6 points, 6.1 rebounds and 2.6 blocks per game in his final season at UCONN.
