The Lebanon House Court in Tudu, Accra will host an exhibition game between Ghana Navy and home side Tudu Magic on Wednesday May 17.

The game is a special one since it will be the first to be played with a 24 second shot clock in the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I.

The novelty will be used in the second round of the ABL when games commence on Friday May 19 at the aforementioned venue at 18:00 GMT.

In the lead up to the game, a two day technical seminar was held to brief stakeholders on the fine details involved in using the system.

At the seminar, Ghana Basketball Association Vice Chairman Iddisu Gamel, stated the introduction of the shot clock was needed to help “structure our game”.

Navy will be involved on Match Day One in the second round when the side takes on defending league champions Braves of Customs. Tema Youth plays DC Dynamics after the opening matchup.
