Fire Service Men’s Basketball Team will replace Tudu Magic as Ghana Navy’s opponent for the upcoming exhibition game at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu. The change was announced a day after ABL management made the announcement.
The game is scheduled to take place on Wednesday May 17 at 18:00 GMT and will be the first to be played with the 24 second shot clock.
The novelty will be introduced to the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I when games in the second round tip off on May 19.
A special seminar was held not too long to brief players, coaches and team executives on some regulations governing the use of the system.
The shot clock is expected to further develop Ghana’s premier league and generate more excitement among fans.
Fire was one of the best sides in the first round this season but faltered in the last two rounds to fall to third place while Navy remains the only side without a win.
Navy gets busy on Friday as it takes on Braves of Customs and Tema Youth plays DC Dynamics.
