The Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I second round is set to begin later this week on May 19 at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu. Ahead of the league’s resumption, team fixtures have been sanctioned and released.
Defending champions Braves of Customs opens the final round of the regular season with a tie against Ghana Navy at 18:00 GMT before Tema Youth plays DC Dynamics.
Tema and Braves occupy the top two spots in the standings while Dynamics and Navy are ranked in the last spots.
The new start time was agreed on by stakeholders stakeholders in a general meeting held at the end of the first round as well as the introduction of a shot clock which aims to increase the scoring output from teams.
The round will also have veteran teams compete in a separate league on the calendar; veteran players from CYO,
After 7 and Tema Basketball Clubs have been registered to compete. Exhibition games with the shot clock will be played on Wednesday May 17.
