Ghana Navy Male Basketball Team is on the clock to win as many games as possible to generate much need winning momentum to take on the uphill task of avoiding relegation from the Accra Basketball League Men’s Division I.
After finishing the first round with no wins and ranked bottom of the standings, Navy gets back to play with a game against defending champions Braves of Customs when the league resumes on May 19.
In order to stand a chance of avoiding the drop into Division II and starting the second round on a winning note, the team’s matchup later today in the Tema Community Basketball League should be won.
Navy is scheduled to play Tema Community 2 in a game that neither side can afford to lose since C2 is coming off a bad loss to rival Community 4 in the previous round.
Unlike the ABL, Navy has fared better after winning two straight games and another win is sure to put the side in the right frame to take on the Accra challenge.
