The 2017 FIBA Women’s Africa Basketball Championship (AfroBasket) roster is set to be updated at the end of the weekend as qualifiers will be played all over the continent.

One of the headline games of the qualifiers has Ivory Coast play West African rival Benin in a two game playoff for a spot in the Championship.

The first of the two legged tie take place later today in Abidjan, Ivory Coast while the second game takes place at the same venue on May 13.

In preparation for the crucial game, both teams have named their rosters with Benin’s team dominated by players from local rivals ASPAC and Energie; ASPAC leads the way with seven invited players while Energie has five.

The Championship takes place in Bamako, Mali from September 15 to 24 and the top two teams from the tournament will qualify for the 2018 Women’s Basketball World Cup.

Spain will host the prestigious event.
