Navy players go up for rebound against Fire.

Ghana Navy has blown another lead and possibly its chances of winning the 2017 Accra Basketball League (ABL) Women’s Division following a 51-53 loss to Fire Service in the latest round of games played at the Lebanon House Court in Tudu.

Navy led through three quarters of the game and despite holding leads of six, nine and six respectively in the quarters, it managed to lose a crucial game that has serious implications on its title ambitions for the season.

Poor decisions, costly turnovers and slack play particularly on the offensive side has dogged Coach Alexander Tindani’s side in the business end of the season surprisingly.

Like the Fire loss, Navy was in a healthy position in the previous game against Galaxy after storming back from 2-7 deficit to take a 10-8 lead in the first quarter but failed to score a basket till the sixth minute in the third quarter.

Losing both games drops Navy further behind leaders Galaxy and Braves of Customs in the title chase. Braves game against University of Ghana did not take place and has subsequently been postponed.
