Ghana Navy placed third in the Tema League preseason tournament.

According to Ghana Navy Male Basketball Team Captain Sylvester Essilfie, the season is not yet over and his team can come out of their woes successfully.

The veteran Point Guard made the statement when a contingent led by Coach Alexander Tindani made an appearance on top rated basketball television show “Courtside” for an extensive discussion on the team’s outlook among other issues.

Navy sits bottom of the Accra Basketball League (ABL) Men’s Division I standings with six points after losing all games in the first half of the season.

Reflecting on his team’s underwhelming performance, Essilfie was adamant albeit biblical, Navy will come good at season’s end.

“The Bible says seven times a man will fall but he should know that when you fall you can’t stay there you come up, you reorganize yourself and move on… to my colleagues, I will just tell them that it is not yet over we can still fight and get to what where want to get to” which is the top he said.

Navy has failed to recapture the postseason form it experienced last season.
